Misshapen aida cloth

HELP - I had to tear out text on a cross stitch piece that measures 131 count by 7 count. Now my 14-count aida cloth is misshapen (not tight). Is there any way to tighten up the aida cloth or do I need to re-do the piece?

Hard to describe the problem. Hope my fellow stitchers can understand and help me to resolve the issue.
