Stitching with metallic thread

Is there an easy way of stitching with metallic thread without it unraveling? It's hard to stitch it evenly especially on a baby bib that is uneven itself. I'm only doing an full stitch outline in it. Thanks.

    Raeharley,
When I stitch with metallic thread, I use one piece metallic thread and one piece of floss called for in the pattern depending on the fabric count used. I've done this for years and it makes it much easier to use the metallic thread.

Use short lengths of metallic thread you can do 1/2 stitch over the stitches. It is easier that way Go to top

I stitch all of the cross stitches first then. Then do cross stitches first. Then go back over the top with the metallic and do half stitches .. When using metallic thread use short length as thread frays easy. I pull out the nylon thread and I get better.coversgron my stitches piece
