Hi - I have a diamond dot kit and I would like to use as a cross stitch chart. The only way I can get the size right is 9 count so I want to use 18 count and make every stitch a block of four stitches. Tried Davos fabric but the weave was too loose. Going to try Aida next. I would appreciate any recommendation about number of threads to use on 18 count.

    I have used the following numbers of threads for each fabric count.

    11 count - 3 strands
    14 count - 2 threads
    18 count - 2 threads
    22 count - 1 strand
